10/10 just what kenfig hill needed! The nicest Chinese I’ve ever had. The staff were lovely, all of the food we had was amazing. We had salt and pepper chips (unbelievable) salt and pepper chicken which was actually proper chunks of chicken and had a lovely coating. Crispy beef 10/10, vermicelli noodles, a box of noodles in sweet and chill sauce and a free box of salt and pepper chicken wings!

We had an unbelievablely good takeaway from here. We live in bridgend so wasn't sure whether they would deliver from kenfig hill but it wasn't a problem. Super generous portions and even some free delicious chicken wings. Definitely worth the delivery fee we paid. If they can keep it consistent Shangai chef will be our go to Chinese takeaway 🔥

First time trying Shanghai Chef, it was great to finally have a good,decent and well priced Cantonese takeaway locally. My food was hot, good portion size and very tasty. The meat was very good quality and well prepared. Excellent will definitely be visiting again. A big plus is they accept cards!

The vegetables in the dishes were also lovely, big and plentiful. The prawns were plump and juicy, and the beef dish had lots of meat.
The service was also SO quick! I was surprised when they said that the food would be ready for pick up 10 minutes, and it was! Thank you!- Food

We have just had a fantastic meal from Shanghai Chef. Two starters (BBQ ribs and veg crispy pancakes) which were cooked to perfection. Five main meals including S&S Pork balls, duck chow mein and beef curry. All once again cooked really well and not cheap chewy meat. I would definitely recommend them and will now have this as our favourite Chinese. They also deliver locally.

Ordered a takeaway to be delivered. Firstly I was impressed that they take card payment over the phone, most takeaways in the are will only accept cash on delivery which is a pain. After placing the order I was told it would be delivered between 45 and 60 minutes. Which it was. …More reviews
Ordered a takeaway to be delivered. Firstly I was impressed that they take card payment over the phone, most takeaways in the are will only accept cash on delivery which is a pain.
After placing the order I was told it would be delivered between 45 and 60 minutes. Which it was.
The food was hot when it arrived and my oh my there was plenty of it. We ordered a few dishes to have a sample and in all it came to £50.00, however, that fed three of us on the night. I mean our plates were extremely full, and none of us actually cleared our plates. Having said that there was enough left in the containers for my wife and son to have a full meal the following day.
As for the food, it is the best Chinese Takewaway that we have had. All the food was cooked to perfection and was flavoursome, the crispy chilli beef was crispy with a nice amount of spice, too!!
Usually after eating a Chinese Takeaway, I don't feel very well, however, that didn't happen with The Shangai Chef... the food was amazing!!! I will definitely be ordering from here again.- Service

Wow! Just wow!! We went in and ordered a takeaway on Saturday (19th Oct) and everything was faultless! Customer service was amazing, staff friendly and prices reasonable (we ordered a lot for 4 people!) and thats all before we tried the food! Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection and plenty for a round 2!! Absolutely delicious! Will definitely be taking away from there again :-) x

Place annd order for over £100 as it was a special celebration. Excellent customer service from the point of order to the point of delivery. Every dish was absolutely amazing. Best Chinese food we have had in YEARS and trust me when I say we’ve tried many from Porthcawl, Aberkenfig and Bridgend, this one is SUPERB. Will absolutely be ordering again soon, 10/10 would highly recommend
